The Young Gardener

"Aargh, my hands are dirty." cried a five-year-old Pedro as he raises them in the air and flaps them irritatingly.

"That's alright," came the mom to his rescue as she dusted them off and kissed those fingertips, "Look at the plant you just put in the soil."

Little Pedro saw the marigold and went his way.

A week went by; the tiny plant had two new buds.

Pedro was noticing it all this while.

Then one fine day, mom saw him bend over and kiss the flower.

"The flower is so happy," he said as he clapped his hands.

Wordless Wednesday #92

Dirt = Kids
They could be the synonyms since it personifies a carefree attitude while having plain fun.

Alas! This same kid when grown up, chooses to play foul games that are dingy, indecent, and illegal. In short, becomes dirty again!

Makes me wonder
Is this love for dirt life long?

Mantra for today: Let's clean up our acts before we get buried in the dirt!

My Space

I was digging hard since the harsh winter had solidified the soil and made it all dry and parched.

Just then I heard a low noise, "hey."

I looked around but did not find any activity about me, thus continued with zeal.

"hey! you hear me."

Stunned I took back a few steps as I brushed off the excess dirt from my claws.

"What do you want?" I glared at the caterpillar.

"Dig with caution since this is my space. Do not invade my privacy," he sneered at me.

Taken aback with the harsh truth. I nodded in compliance.
