Take Me Home, Country Roads

The drive from the airport to the familiar streets was heart-wrenching, as many memories kept popping up.

I reached the colony and met my friends with fond hugs, but my eyes wandered to a particular home.

The familiar foliage and vibes couldn't keep me from knocking on the door.

I hoped the door would open like old times when two familiar figures would hug me with warmth and unconditional love- my parents.

But just then, my friend interrupted my train of thought!

"Don't do this to yourself again! You know your parents are dead, and a tenant lives here."

In 99 words (no more, no less), write a story about the journey home. Who is going home? Or are they in search of a future home or ancestral roots? Think of home as a life lived — adventures, relationships, accumulations. What makes home worth the journey? Go where the prompt leads!

Wordless Wednesday #122

Even though the surroundings get cold, bitter and leafless.

That nest is busy with life chirping.

Home is where the Heart is!

Mantra for today: Home is where memories are created!

The Return...

Ira was staring beyond the window into those clouds that were white yet had so much to exhibit. Her eyes became moist followed by a parched throat while viewing.

"Excuse me!" came a gentle tap

Precipitously turned to her co-passenger who requested her to shut the window.

"Not Yet," she responded sternly, "I want the rays of the sun to enliven and motivate me to return home with good spirits."

Unperturbed Ira continued to gawk the clouds with the hope to find a message of, "Things have changed for the better, and All will be well at home!"

Wordless Wednesday #76

What is the significance of an abandoned home?
None!

The above is a relinquished bee hive that the bees vacated. Thus, of no importance anymore.

The same could be applied to our body that is our home, but once our soul decides to vacate it.
It's of no use, thus either buried or burnt.

Mantra for today: When the Body is a Temporary Home, why obsess over it. Just keep it nourished with Good Food and Good Mantras.

How to protect our home?

My Planet, Earth is our home. We share our home with trillions of living organisms.

We are fortunate to be sharing this space with all, however; what steps do we take to help protect it, and sustain it for the future generation?

We have muddled us our lives thus, only think  about ME, I, MYSELF.

Result

Global warming and natural calamities are on the rise.

Experts have recommended some basic steps to help increase the longevity of this planet.

The 3 R's

Reduce, Recycle, Reuse

The 3 R's will help sustain the stocks of this planet. When we share this home with trillions; we ought to change our thinking to WE, US, OURSELVES.

Mantra for today: Think beyond yourself. It will benefit you in many ways!
